Work is one of the most powerful influences on people's health, wellbeing, engagement, performance, and quality of life. Yet too often, organisations respond to hazards, risks, injuries, and wellbeing concerns as separate problems rather than considering the experience of work as a whole. This webinar explores a different proposition: What if we intentionally designed better work?
Through engaging and relatable worker personas and scenarios, Sara will explore how physical, psychosocial, cognitive, organisational, and environmental factors intersect in people's everyday experience of work. She will demonstrate how organisations can move beyond chasing individual hazards and programs to curate the conditions of work more intentionally—through environment, technology, job design, leadership, and organisational systems—while learning from the realities of work: what works well, what can be strengthened, and where systems are fractured or problematic.
Sara will challenge delegates to address this question, “For whom are we designing?” and to consider work itself as a powerful design medium. Delegates will leave with evidence-informed design principles, practical frameworks, and actionable strategies for creating healthier, more engaging, and productive work—by intention, not by accident.
