Learn what James and the team found when they checked the brick cutting
The work
The work is being done outside, near the main door. Workers coming in through this door might breathe in silica dust. When we cut bricks, the dust can float in the air and get inside the building where other workers are.
PPE
The worker is wearing a special mask called a Positive Air Pressure Respirator to keep safe. It helps protect them from harm.
Without water
Cutting bricks without water generates silica dust. This dust can be dangerous. It's better to use a wet method that suppresses the silica dust from becoming airborne and being breathed in.
