The code of practice for Managing the work environment and facilities:
- provides practical guidance on how to provide and maintain a safe and healthy physical work environment; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
- applies to all workplaces where plant is used and anyone involved in these activities
- covers the work environment, including entry and exit, floors and other surfaces, housekeeping, lighting and more
- covers facilities, including toilets, handwashing, eating facilities, showers and change rooms, and more
- includes guidance for specific work, including outdoor work and remote/isolated work
- includes a checklist and examples of facilities for different workplaces.
