The code of practice for Managing the risks of falls at workplaces:

  • provides practical guidance on how to manage the health and safety risks associated with falls; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
  • applies to all workplaces where falls are a hazard
  • includes the role of designers of plants and structures
  • explains the risk management process
  • covers work on the ground or on a solid construction, fall protection devices, work positioning systems, fall arrest systems, ladders
  • covers emergency procedures for falls.
