Welding processes: Code of practice

The code of practice for Welding processes:

  • provides practical guidance on how to manage health and safety risks associated with welding; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
  • applies to all workplaces where welding is carried out and anyone involved in these activities
  • explains risk management
  • covers specific hazards and control measures, including airborne contaminants, radiation, fire and explosion, gases, lead and more
  • covers other hazards and control measures, including ventilation, personal protective equipment, and more
  • covers health monitoring.
