The code of practice for How to manage and control asbestos in the workplace:
- provides practical guidance on how to manage health and safety risks associated with asbestos and asbestos-containing materials; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
- applies to all workplaces where asbestos may be found
- explains asbestos registers and asbestos management plans
- explains managing other asbestos-related risks, including contaminated sites and refurbishment work
- explains managing exposure, including health monitoring
- explains controlling the risks using the hierarchy of control
- includes templates/samples, and recommended safe working practices.
