WorkSafe Month 2020 included a comprehensive range of online webinars hosted by WorkSafe Tasmania and online training delivered by OzHelp Tasmania (external link) (a program of Lifeline Tasmania), all supporting the continued theme of 'Safe Bodies, Safe Minds'. A theme that highlights the importance of out physical and mental health and wellbeing at work and shows us what we can do to ensure our work is safer, healthier and more productive.
This year's Month was made possible with the support of expert speakers, business leaders and health and safety professionals delivering webinars on a broad range of topics throughout October.
While the circumstances created by COVID-19 changed our delivery method, going online allowed us to engage like never before, providing everyone with greater opportunity to access and participate in our 37 webinars, reaching over 4,000 registrations from the Tasmanian community and across the globe. A further 230 people participated in the free and subsidised training offered by OzHelp Tasmania (external link).
WorkSafe Month is an initiative of the WorkCover Tasmania Board and supports Safe Work Australia’s National Safe Work Month (external link).
