Health care and social assistance is one of the 5 industry groupings identified as being a national priority for prevention activities in the Australian Work Health and Safety Strategy.
This new campaign aims to reduce the frequency of injuries in the Health Care and Social Assistance industry.
Beginning June 2017, WorkSafe’s Inspectors will be working with the Health Care and Social Assistance industry to develop, implement and monitor systems that reduce the impact of key issues on the health and safety of their workers.
In 2015, WorkSafe Tasmania and the WorkCover Tasmania Board conducted a statewide project to reduce body stressing injuries in the Health Care and Social Assistance Industry.
