This code of practice for Safe use of reinforced plastics:
- is a Tasmania-only code of practice
- provides practical guidance on how to manage health and safety risks associated with reinforced plastics; and how to achieve the standards required under the work health and safety laws
- applies to all workplaces where reinforced plastics are used and anyone involved in these activities
- covers duties of care, risk management, and general safe work practices, including consultation and training
- covers hazardous substances, including safety data sheets, storage and more
- covers ventilation, noise, general work practices, confined spaces, emergency procedures, personal hygiene and amenities, first aid, health surveillance and building requirements.
