Proposed amendments to WR&C Act 1988

Background

The Tasmanian Government is committed to reducing red tape in the Tasmanian workers compensation scheme. In 2014 the Minister asked the WorkCover Tasmania Board to work with scheme participants and stakeholders, to understand where potential opportunities exist for the reduction of red tape.

From this process, many areas of the scheme were identified that could be improved or streamlined. This information has been analysed and we have now prepared a list of areas where legislative change is being considered.
